KATHMANDU: Nepal Congress (NC) lawmaker Gagan Thapa has sought clarification for the delayed cabinet expansion.
Speaking at the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting Thursday, Thapa asked the government why it had not given full shape to the cabinet. He also urged the government to move forward according to the common minimum program (CMP).
He argued that opposition leader and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli could do nothing while he was in power and began giving suggestions to the government as soon as he was came in the opposition. Stating that the incumbent government should proceed ahead by lending its ears to all sides, he accused the previous government of not listening to the main opposition at the time.
In the HoR meeting today, HoR Secretary Gopi Nath Mainali tabled a message from the National Assembly (NA) regarding the Standard Weights and Measures (Fifth Amendment) Bill-2022, which the NA had endorsed.
The next HoR meeting is scheduled at 1 pm Friday.
