NEPSE increases by 16.41 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 16.41 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 3179.00 points.

A total of 36.60 million shares of 225 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of 17.51 billion.

The index of the banking group has increased by 9 points while an index of Development Bank increased by 344 points, Finance by 32 points, Manufacturing by 99 points, Life Insurance by 31 points, and Investment Group by almost two points.

However, the index of Hydropower, Hotel, Trade, Others, Non-Life Insurance, and Microfinance Group declined today.

Shares of Mahalakshmi Development Bank, Kamana Sewa Development Bank, Shine Resunga Development Bank, Union Life, Jeevan Bikas Microfinance, Ruru Hydropower, and Mountain Energy Company have increased 10 percent today.

Shares of Panchthar Power Company, Oriental Hotel and others have declined by about four percent.

The highest number of shares of Tamakoshi worth Rs 627.9 million has been bought and sold today in NEPSE.
