KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has carried out a raid at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), in Dharan, Sunsari, Thursday.
A joint team from CIAA’s Tangal-based central office and Itahari office reached BIPIKHS to investigate following media reports on irregularities in health equipment procurement process and other issues at the institute.
“A CIAA team has gone to BPKIHS. They will conduct observation of the situation there and return with suspected evidences,” said CIAA Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Risal.
The CIAA raid followed several complaints regarding anomalies at BPKIHS were registered with the authority.
