I am taking charge as NEA MD again:  Kulman Ghising

KATHMANDU: Kulman Ghising, who has been re-appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), is assuming office from today.

Ghising, who had earlier completed his four-year-term, has been re-appointed by the Deuba government as the MD of the NEA.

“I am assuming office from today,” said Ghising Wednesday morning, adding, “I have returned to the NEA after 11 months.”

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has re-appointed him as per the proposal submitted by him in the cabinet meeting on Monday.

Outgoing MD Hitendrar Dev Shakya took leave from the NEA yesterday (Tuesday).

During his previous tenure, Ghising had done a commendable job by putting an end to the problem of load shedding for good and raised the NEA to make a profit. Hence, the general public is happy with his reappointment.
