Speaker Sapkota holds discussion with Prime Minister Deuba



KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Sapkota has held a meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the former’s office in Federal Parliament building, New Baneshwor, on Tuesday.

Speaker Sapkota held discussions with PM Deuba about forwarding bills tabled in the Parliament and making the House of Representatives (HoR) effective, informed the Speaker’s Secretariat.

The government’s common minimum program unveiled Sunday incorporated the issue of moving forward bills at the HoR.

Earlier, UML Chairman KP Oli urged the Lower House to ensure passage of the citizenship bill and to table the United States-backed Millennium Challenge Corporation compact for vote.
