Darchula incident probe committee heads to Baitadi



KATHMANDU: A probe committee formed to investigate the Tuin incident of Darchula district has left for Baitadi district today.

The team formed under the coordination of Janardan Gautam, joint secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has left for Baitadi after eight days’ stay in Darchula.

It is stated that the probe team headed to Baitadi to carry out further investigation into the incident. The team is scheduled to talk with the security persons related to the Mahakali River security.

The Darchula incident is to do with Jaya Singh Dhami who went missing in course of crossing the Mahakali River via Tuin (improvised rope bridge).

The committee had reached Darchula last week and discussed with security forces and police personnel deployed at the incident site. The probe team is assigned to submit its report in 10 days. RSS
