NEPSE increases by 0.66 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 0.66 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 3108.12 points.

A total of 26.99 million shares of 227 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 14.30 billion.

Shares of six companies traded at positive circuit levels today. Shares of Api Power, Corporate Development Bank, Universal Power, Jeevan Bikas Microfinance, Ngadi Group, and Union Life Insurance traded at positive circuit levels.

Similarly, the share price of Karnali Development Bank has increased more than 9 percent. NIC Asia has decreased most by 7.37 percent.

The share price of Rural Development Microfinance has declined by 4.08 percent. Other companies have a decline rate of less than 4 percent.

Out of the 13 subgroups traded on Sunday, the indicators of six subgroups are positive while the indicators of the remaining seven subgroups are negative.

The index of the hydropower sub-group has increased the most by 3.33 percent while that of the development bank has increased by 1.32 percent. Meanwhile, the indices of hotel and tourism, non-life insurance, and microfinance subgroups have declined by more than 1 percent.

Likewise, Api Power Company topped the list in terms of turnover. Shares of the company have been traded for more than Rs 818.5 million on this day.

Similarly, more than 605 million shares of Arun Valley Hydropower have been bought and sold today.
