KATHMANDU: The government has decided to give AstraZeneca jab to 1.3 million senior citizens from Monday.

Health Secretary Dr Roshan Pokhrel said that the AstraZeneca vaccine would be given to senior citizens from tomorrow.

Likewise, he has also urged one and all to mandatorily use face masks properly.

It should be noted Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had on Saturday said that all sides’ efforts and cooperation would help control the spread of coronavirus.

PM Deuba also reiterated that the government’s lone efforts were not capable to foil the spread of coronavirus. So, cooperation among all people and sectors is imperative, he said.
