Surendra Pandey joins the meeting today

KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of CPN-UML’s Nepal-Khanal faction is underway at a party palace in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu.

According to sources, leader Surendra Pandey who had not attended the first CC meeting of the faction on Thursday has joined the meeting on Friday.

Although 73 central committee members attended the meeting yesterday, some leaders, including Pandey and Yogesh Bhattarai who had been kept in the task force formed to find common ground for party unity, had not attended the meeting.

Most of the leaders, in Thursday’s meeting, had urged the leaders to ensure a respectable and decent adjustment of all leaders in the party committees.

Senior leader Nepal, on the other hand, had briefed that it was not possible to move forward together under KP Oli’s leadership as the latter had been deceitful and treacherous all the time.
