KATHMANDU: Lumbini Provincial Assembly (PA) member Bimala Kumari Khatri has accused Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel of holding her hostage at the CM’s residence.

Talking to the media in Butwal Thursday, Khatri revealed that she was held hostage at the CM’s residence from July 30 to August 4. While she was held captive, CM Pokhrel forced her to sign a statement that said she was with the CPN-UML, and issued a statement concerning her stance on August 3, she said.

Recalling her May 2 press meet where she had expressed her affiliation with the Maoist Center, she added, “I was with the Maoist Center in the past and would continue to remain in it.”
