NEPSE decreases by 16 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 16 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 3107.45 points.

A total of 28.84 million shares of 226 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 14.31 billion.

Similarly, the share price of the microfinance group decreased by 39 points, hydropower group by 76 points, hotel group by 47 points, another group by 17 points, manufacturing group by 69 points, finance group by 24 points, life insurance group by 59 points, and non-life insurance group by 56 points.

Today, the share of the Development Bank Group has increased by about 111 points.

Likewise, shares of Universal Power Company decreased the most by nearly seven percent, and shares of Ghalemdi, Shivashree, and Ridi Hydro decreased more than five percent.

Shares of Nepal Finance, Karnali Development Bank, Jeevan Bikas Microfinance, and Union Life increased by 10 percent despite the overall market decline.

More than 653 million shares of the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Company have been bought and sold.
