Indian PM Modi for treating neighbors well

Remark comes a day after a Nepali national went missing when SSB cut a ropeway while the person was crossing river



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has said neighboring countries should be treated well.

In an interaction program with Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, Modi said that relations with neighboring countries should be good.

Ironically, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reminded police officers to be kind to the neighboring countries and their citizens a day after one Nepali person went missing when the Indian Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) personnel cut down the ‘tuin’ — a rope way — while the person was crossing the Mahakali River in Sudurpaschim of Nepal.

Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, “Be it Bhutan, Nepal, the Maldives, or Mauritius, we are not only neighbors but also share commonness in our thinking and social etiquettes. We are all friends of happiness and sorrow. When disaster strikes, we should help each other first.”
