PM Deuba expresses grief over demise of NC leader Singh



KATMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over the demise of former lawmaker Akabar Bahadur Singh.

Singh died on Friday at Tilganga Hospital in Kathmandu. He was 90. “I am saddened by the demise of former lawmaker Akabar Bahadur Singh. I offer my tribute to him while remembering his contribution to democratic movements of the country. I wish the departed soul rests in peace and I personally and on behalf of my party extend deep condolences to the bereaved family,” read a message of condolence issued by PM Deuba.

Born in Marma Rural Municipality-5 in Darchula district, Singh had won a seat in the House of Representatives in 2048 BS from the NC. He also actively involved in social work. RSS
