South Korean President Moon congratulates Prime Minister Deuba



KATHMANDU: President of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in, has congratulated Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on his appointment to the Prime Minister of Nepal.

In a congratulatory message handed on Friday to PM Deuba, who also takes care of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by Ambassador of South Korea to Nepal, Park Chong-suk, the South Korean President also wished PM Deuba a successful stay in the prime ministerial post.

Expressing his gratitude for the message, PM Deuba said that he was happy to cooperate with President Moon to further strengthen friendly relations between Nepal and South Korea.

On the occasion, the PM held talks with the South Korean Ambassador on promoting bilateral relations between the two countries, said the Ministry.

Similarly, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Syed Haider Shah, paid a courtesy call on the PM on Friday itself. The meeting between the duo focused on assistances and solidarity against COVID-19, bilateral trade and investment and tourism promotion among others, said the Ministry.
