UML leader Bishnu Poudel hold talks with senior leader Nepal

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bishnu Poudel held talks with CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter’s residence in Koteswor on Friday.

Sources said the two leaders discussed the ongoing political developments and the intra-party rift that is going on within the UML for quite some time now.

Poudel, who is close to UML Chairman KP Oli, has been taking initiatives to keep the party unity intact.

It should be noted that 22 UML lawmakers, including eight from Chairman Oli’s faction, had given a vote of confidence to Sher Bahadur Deuba as the prime minister on July 18 after which the relations between Oli and Nepal had soured further.
