Maoist Center Chair Prachanda meets with Nepal after PM Deuba

Woos Nepal to participate in govt



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has reached Koteshwor to meet with CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal after holding talks with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda held a meeting with Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Deuba at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar this morning.

In the meeting held at Baluwatar this morning, Prachanda and Deuba discussed cabinet expansion among other appointments, said Prime Minister’s Secretariat. The ruling coalition is making preparations to expand the cabinet as soon as possible.

A meeting of the ruling alliance on Wednesday had decided to expand the cabinet within two days.

Prachanda in a Standing Committee (SC) meeting of his party on Tuesday had said Nepal also would take part in the government.

Prachanda and Nepal are currently holding a meeting. It is learnt that Prachanda is wooing Nepal to participate in the government.
