JSP Executive Committee member Chaudhary reaches Election Commission



KATHMANDU: Executive Committee member of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Resham Chaudhary, who is imprisoned in Dilli Bazaar prison, has reached the Election Commission (EC) office in Kantipath, Kathmandu, Monday.

The EC had summoned all the members of JSP Executive Committee for verification to resolve authenticity claim made by the party’s rival factions. Chaudhary was taken to the EC from Dilli Bazaar prison in a police vehicle for the same.

He said he would put his signature after consulting with party JSP Co-chairs Upendra Yadav and Mahantha Thakur.

Meanwhile, 34 Executive Committee members of the total 51 have signed in favor of Chair Yadav while 16 in favor of Chair Thakur. Resham Chaudhary is yet to make a decision.
