KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted rains in the various parts of the country until Wednesday.
According to a weather bulletin issued by MFD this morning, light to moderate rains are expected in various parts of the country today due to a low pressure monsoon trough in the Terai region.
Heavy rain is forecast in a few places of Sudurpashchim Pradesh today and in some places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim on Tuesday night.
According to the weather bulletin, heavy rains are likely in one or two places of Pradesh 1 and Bagmati Pradesh.
Similarly, light to moderate rains will occur in many places throughout the country and heavy rains in a few places.
Meanwhile, people especially those living on the river-banks and in the low-lying areas have been urged to take precautions from possible floods and inundation.
