Man entering Nepal from India with Rs. 4 million undeclared cash arrested



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man who was entering Nepal from India with Rs. 4 million undeclared cash from Bhadrapur, Jhapa, Saturday.

The arrested has been identified as Gauri Mandal of Belaitibari in Jhapa Rural Municipality-2.

District Police Office, Jhapa, said Mandal was arrested after he could not disclose the source of the recovered money. He was carrying 4 million and 37 thousand rupees. A team deployed from Area Police Office, Kumarkhod, held him.

DSP Rakesh Thapa said Mandal along with the seized amount was handed over to Bhadrapur Customs Office for necessary action.
