Nepal records 3,114 new COVID-19 cases, 16 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 615 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 3,114 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,309 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 805 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 421 persons in Kathmandu, 108 in Lalitpur, and 86 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 615 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 16 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2197 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
