Teacher is who enlightens others with knowledge: PM Deuba



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said it is the teacher (guru) who enlightens others with knowledge and dispels the ignorance.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Guru Poornima and Byas Day, Prime Minster and Nepali Congress President Deuba expressed gratitude to all teachers (gurus), including his own.

It would be less no matter how teachers are revered in recognition of their contributions to nurture morality among the people through knowledge and consciousness, PM Deuba said.

He expressed his reverence to the teachers who are working to implant and enhance morality and integrity among human being through a sense of education and awareness.

Deuba message comes on the occasion of the celebration of Guru Poornima today in which Gurus are remembered and respected for their teachings.
