KATHMANDU:  The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadv has demanded seven ministries from the government.

The Yadav-Bhattarai faction leader Mrigendra Singh Yadav has informed that JSP has demanded seven ministers and one minister of state.

However, he clarified that there was no formal decision of the party in this regard. Meanwhile, JSP’s another Chairman Mahantha Thakur has expressed his readiness to join the government.

Leaders of the Thakur-Mahato faction have said that the issue of allocation of ministries is yet to be discussed with the ruling coalition.

JSP leader Mahantha Thakur on Wednesday held a meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. During the meeting, Prime Minister Deuba proposed Thakur to join the government, said Sharat Singh Bhandari, a leader close to Thakur.
