Nepal-Khanal faction’s SC meeting underway



KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the Nepal-Khanal faction of the  CPN-UML has started in the capital.

According to Mohan Gautam, the personal secretary of senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, the SC members are holding discussions on the latest political developments in the meeting.

“The SC has meeting has started. The leaders are holding talks in the meeting,” said Gautam.

The SC meeting will chalk out a future strategy and apprise the SC members of the discussions held with the UML leaders who voted for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Leader Nepal had held a meeting with the leaders who gave the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Deuba during the confidence motion.

Prime Minister Deuba has offered six ministries to the Nepal-Khanal faction. However, the ministerial portfolios are yet to be decided. The Nepal-Khanal faction is participating in the Deuba cabinet, soon.
