Advocate Rawal picked NC election committee member



KATHMANDU: Advocate Tej Rawal has been appointed a member of Central Election Committee of the Nepali Congress (NC). The election committee is the body that is responsible for holding the party’s general convention.

NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba appointed Rawal, who is a resident of Kanchanpur, Sunday in accordance with Article 25 (9) of the party statute to replace the election committee’s former member Advocate Khamma Bahadur Khati, who assumed the responsibility of Attorney General.

The five-member election committee comprises Coordinator Mahadev Yadav, Gopal Krishna Ghimire, Sitaram KC and Ekraj Pokharel as other members.

The NC is slated to hold its 14th General Convention from September 1 to 4 in Kathmandu.
