Vero Cell vaccination campaign postponed in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The government has postponed Vero Cell vaccination drive in Kathmandu for the time being owing to the shortage of the vaccine against COVID-19.

The latest round of vaccination drive for the Vero Cell vaccine had kicked off since July 13.

According to Chief Public Health Administrator at the Health Office, Kathmandu, Badri Bahadur Khadka, vaccination drive in Kathmandu was postponed due to shortage. The vaccine was administered from 44 vaccine centers in Kathmandu district.

Vero Cell was given to people above 55 years of age.

The Chinese government had donated 800 thousand doses of Vero Cell to Nepal.
