Nepal records 2,936 new COVID-19 cases, 43 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 553 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,936 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,006 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 930 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 343 persons in Kathmandu, 136 in Lalitpur, and 62 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 541 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 49 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,775 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
