Sharma from Maoist Center and Yadav from JSP to participate in Deuba-led govt



KATHMANDU: Leader Janardan Sharma from CPN (Maoist Center) and Upendra Yadav representing Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) are taking part in the government to be led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Sources have said that JSP Chairman Yadav is participating in the government as the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Similarly, Janardan Sharma will participate in the Deuba-led government while his portfolio is yet to be decided, a source close to Deuba said.

NC will keep the Ministry of Health and Population itself and preparations are underway to appoint leader Gagan Thapa as the Health Minister, the sources have said.

Reinstating the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday, the Supreme Court issued a mandamus to appoint Nepali Congress President Deuba as the Prime Minister of Nepal by 5 pm today.
