Rs 3.2 million stolen from cooperative



GORKHA: Approximately Rs 3.2 million cash has been stolen from the Bhimakul Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited at Borlang of Bhimsen Thapa rural municipality in the district.

The incident took place last night.

Cooperative’s board member Buddhi Shrestha said that the chain gate of the cooperative building was found broken and probably the theft took place at midnight.

According to him, Rs 3.2 million out of the total Rs 5.2 million has been stolen from the cooperative. He said the Bhimakul Cooperatives is the biggest cooperative in the district recording two to three million in transactions daily.
