Kathmandu valley sees 380 fresh cases of coronavirus in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: As many as 380 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 261 persons in Kathmandu, 74 in Lalitpur, and 45 in Bhaktapur  tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 2,239 new cases of coronavirus while 1,316 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the 2,239 cases confirmed, 1,479 were detected through RT-PCR method and 760 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 20 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 9,340 in the country.
