Heavy rain likely in Pradesh 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpashchim

KATHMANDU: With the monsoon getting active, the rain is occurring in various parts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

Issuing a weather bulletin this morning,  the Division,  has urged the people to take precautions saying that heavy rains are likely in four provinces of the country today.

Moderate to heavy rains are occurring in some parts of Bagmati Pradesh, said the Division. Similarly, the weather will remain generally to fully cloudy with chances of light to moderate rains in many parts of the province.

Heavy rains coupled with thunderstorms are forecast in some places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh and Sudurpashchim Pradesh.

Likewise, light to moderate rains are predicted in some places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, Karnali Pradesh and Sudurpashchim Pradesh and in a few places of the rest of the remaining provinces tonight.

Meanwhile, the Division has urged people especially those living on the river banks to take precautions warning of possible floods, landslides and inundations.
