Nepal records 2,634 new COVID-19 cases, 15 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 499 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,634 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,718 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 916 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 365 persons in Kathmandu, 105 in Lalitpur, and 29 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 499 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 15 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,565 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
