Second doze of Vero Cell being administered from today



KATHMANDU: The second doze of COVID-19 Vero Cell is being administered in the Kathmandu Valley starting today.

The second doze is being administered to more than 370,000 citizens who received the first doze of Vero Cell. People aged 60 to 64 had been given the first doze from June 8 to 12.

The people of this age group are receiving the second doze staring today until July 12.  Besides, those who have already received the first of Vero Cell can also receive the second doze of the vaccine, regardless of the age group.

Vaccination centers have been set up in around 100 places in the Kathmandu Valley.  There have been 13 vaccination centers in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and two each in municipalities and rural municipalities.

The vaccination will begin from 10 am to 4 pm.  Vaccine receivers have to carry a card showing that they had received the first doze.
