Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City inundated



JANAKPURDHAM: Most of the places in Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City have been inundated after the weeklong rainfall here.

The roads, government offices and some houses in the city are waterlogged.

The areas suffering from inundation are Ward No 1, 2, 3 4, 7, 8 and 13. The Post Office, Office of Forest Directorate, Office of Nepal Family Association, and Inland Revenue Office, among others are inundated much, causing sheer inconvenience to the service providers and service seekers.

Currently, the integrated urban development project is under implementation with the financial and technical support of Asian Development Bank.

Roads are being repaired. Unmanaged sewerage has posed additional woes to the people. The police here however said there was no human and physical loss in the city.
