Monsoon triggered flood and landslide disrupt transport in Makwanpur

KATHMANDU: The incessant rain has disrupted transportation on the Hetauda-Bhaise road section of the Tribhuvan Highway since last night.

According to Makawanpur Police, the flood at Bagjhora of Bhimphedi rural municipality-1 has disrupted the traffic along the Hetauda-Bhaise route.

The flood has led to the deposition of debris like pebbles, sand and big rocks on the route; but preparations are underway to clear off the debris and resume the traffic, the police said.

Similarly, the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Kathmandu road has gone closed since Thursday due to a massive landslide triggered by monsoon rains at Gadhi of Bhimphedi-6.

Likewise, the vehicular movement on the Kanti Highway has been disrupted due to a landslide occurred at Gangate of Bhimphedi- 8 on Thursday.
