KATHMANDU: Floods triggered by incessant rains have swept away the bridge over the Chhabdi Khola connecting wards 1 and 13 of Vyas municipality in Tanahu district.
With the bridge swept away, the connection between the two wards has been disrupted.
The bridge was swept away after the floods surged in the Chhabdi Khola, informed Bishwa Bastola, a local.
Similarly, the floods have posed risk to some houses in the vicinity. Landslides have occurred in five different places along the Prithvi Highway, said DSP Yubaraj Timalsina. The highway has been disrupted since early morning today, said Timalsina.
Chief District Officer Sagar Acharya has informed that landslides have occurred in various places even though no human casualties have been reported so far.
Two missing in landslides
Five houses have been buried by landslides at Bandipur-3, Tamung. Two people have gone missing in the land slides, according to Mahesh Subedi, the chief of Administrative Officer of the rural municipality.
