Nepal records 2,636 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 458 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,636 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,728 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 908 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 302 persons in Kathmandu, 100 in Lalitpur, and 56 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 458 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 20 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 4,348 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
