Two siblings drown in water-filled ditch



SARLAHI: Two siblings have drowned in a water-filled ditch dug by a brick factory at Palsi in Sarlahi district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as eight-year-old Riyaj Ansari and six-year-old Newaj Ansari, the sons of Saddam Ansari of Malangawa municipality-11, Gamhariya.

The siblings had taken a plunge into the pool of water to evade the searing heat of the sun while they were herding goats at Pasli today, according to police.

Police said they are investigating the case.
