Water flow in Mahakali expected to reach a ‘danger line’

KATHMANDU: The Mahakali and its tributaries are expected to rise to a ‘danger level’ on Sunday due to rising water levels, according to the Flood Forecast Division.

The Division has urged people to take precautions in the coastal area as the water level could reach the danger level.

The water level in Mahakali and its tributaries is almost at the danger level on Sunday morning.

The Division has forecast that the danger level may increase by noon.

Similarly, the flow in Koshi, Narayani, Karnali and its tributaries has increased in the morning.

Flood experts have predicted that the flow in the western Rapti, Tinau, Babai and its tributaries is likely to increase on Sunday.
