KATHMANDU: A video footage which shows health workers hardly passing some boxes of COVID-19 vaccines across a swollen rivulet at Lete in Mustang district of Nepal went viral this week.
The video footage went viral across the globe in a single day with thousands of likes and shares. Even many a distinguished people have passed comments on the footage about Nepal that has been fighting the second wave of COVID-19.
World Health Organization (WHO) Director Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also could not help making comments on the video.
Sharing the video clip on his Twitter, Dr Tedros has loaded the efforts of the health workers describing them as ‘heroes’.
“This is how far #healthworkers go to save lives. Is it fair that in many places these heroes have still not been vaccinated? It is in our power and our duty to do everything we can to deliver #VaccineEquity! If not now, when?”, commented Dr Tedros.
In this video, a health worker from Lete, Mustang is seen trying to get hold of the vaccine which is already scarce in supply.
