Mahakali crosses danger level; police alert people of disaster risk

DHANGADHI: The flow of water in the Mahakali River has crossed danger level at Dattu in Darchula.

According to District Administration Office, Darchula, the water level reached 6.7 meters at Dattu based water measurement center and 4.5 meters at the Pulghat of Khalanga district headquarters last night.

Police and the district administration office issue alerts together urging people to stay alert.

Residents of Mahakali Municipality, Malikarjun Municipality and Lekam Municipality of Darchula have been asked to be vigilant. The administration has urged the locals not to go near the river.
