NC holding CWC meeting today

Likely to tweak Gen Con’s scheduled date

KATHMANDU: Main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Thursday.

To be held at the central party office in Sanepa at 2 pm today, the CWC meeting will take a call on the postponement of the general convention’s date, said the NC’s central party office.

Issuing a notice, the central party office had invited all the CC members to participate in the meeting.

Earlier, an office-bearers meeting held on Saturday had decided to change the date of the 14th general convention.

Today’s CWC meeting will endorse the decision of the office-bearers’ meeting and discuss the contemporary political issues.

Earlier, the NC’s officer-bearers’ meeting had decided to change the scheduled date of 14th general convention from August 23-26 to September 1-4.
