KATHMANDU: Heavy rains and floods wreaked havoc in several parts of the country on Wednesday, disrupting normal life, according to officials.
The torrential rains also inundated several villages, submerged houses, and caused landslides in different parts of Nepal, disrupting vehicular traffic and bringing down power lines.
Heavy rains have turned rivers in spate, forcing the authorities to advise the people living on banks to safer and higher places.

Similarly, The Ministry of Home Affairs has managed food, tents, and sleeping bags for the survivors.
Minister for Health and Population Sher Bahadur Tamang who represents the Sindhupalchowk-2 in the House of Representatives is learned to have held a meeting with Prime Minister for necessary rescue and relief in the flood-hit areas.
