Seven people who went missing in Sindhupalchowk floods identified



KATHMANDU: The identities of seven people who went missing in the floods on the Indravati River in the Sindhupalchowk district have been confirmed.

Those missing in the floods include Madhav Bhandari, 31, of Helambu Ward No. 2, Ganesh Jyoti, 42, of the same ward, Tikamaya Khadka, 66, of Helambu-3, Gyanendra Kakshapati, 55, of Helambu-7, Changba Tamang of Helambu-6 and his wife, according to District Officer Baburam Khanal.

Likewise, 23-year-old Surendra Nepal of Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality has also gone missing, he said.

According to him, the body of a person was found but his identity could not be ascertained.
