Draft committee formed to amend Province 2 Assembly Rules of Procedure



KATHMANDU: A draft committee has been formed to revise Province 2 Assembly (PA) Rules of Procedure.

A meeting of PA held Monday formed the draft committee with the participation of PA members.

The committee members are Ramashish Yadav (Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP)), Shiva Chandra Chaudhary (the Nepali Congress), Sundar Bahadur Bishwakarma (CPN-UML), Ram Kumar Yadav (CPN-Maoist Center) and Sabitri Devi Sah (the Nepal Federal Socialist Party).

One of the members of the committee will be elected chairman of the draft committee.

The committee will amend the rules of procedure of the PA to determine the scope of work of the thematic committees, to make the provincial assemblies information friendly, and to make the provincial assemblies and secretariats systematic and more efficient.

The draft committee was formed as per Rule 223 of the Rules of Procedure of PA, 2018.

The committee will submit its work within 15 days.
