Province 2 CM Raut welcomes Governor Jha’s concern

KATHMANDU: Province 2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut has welcomed Governor Rajesh Jha ‘Ahiraj’s concern about the need to make the Council of Ministers inclusive.

CM Raut said, “The constitution has entrusted the governor with responsibilities. Accordingly, he said it would be better if the government was inclusive. His concern is good. I welcome it.”

Province 2 Governor Jha wrote a letter to CM Raut on June 11 stating that the Council of Ministers in the province lacked inclusiveness and should be formed as per the provision of proportional inclusion envisaged in the constitution. Governor Jha suggested proportional and inclusive representation of women, Dalits, janajatis, martyrs’ families and non-Madhesis in the government.

Agreeing with Governor Jha, CM Raut added, “All other province and the center should also have inclusive and proportional representation of various oppressed communities in the government. This is a statutory provision.”
