NC central committee to meet Thursday

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) central committee meeting is to be held this Thursday.

The meeting will be held at the party’s central office in Sanepa at 2:00 pm, according to a statement issued by the party’s central office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

Matters relating to the upcoming 14th general convention of the party and contemporary political developments are scheduled to be on the agenda for the meeting.

Central working committee members, central members, and invitee members have been requested to attend the meeting, adds the statement.

Earlier on Saturday, a meeting of the NC office-bearers had decided to postpone the schedule of its 14th general convention by nine days.

The party has rescheduled the general convention date so as to make it take place on September 1 to 4.

Earlier, NC’s 14th general convention was scheduled for August 23-26.
