Opposition alliance demonstrate outside Province Chief’s office claiming support for Nepali as CM

POKHARA: Claiming the support for Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party (PP) leader Krishna Chandra Nepali as Chief Minister, 31 lawmakers have reached the office of Gandaki Province Governor Sita Kumari Poudel and staged demonstration on Saturday afternoon.

According to sources, lawmakers from NC, CPN-Maoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), two lawmakers from Rastriya Janamorcha and independent lawmaker Deepak Manange have reached at the Province Chief’s office.

Despite the opposition alliance leaders’ claim of having majority, Province Governor Poudel had ignored their claim and did not verify the claim yesterday.

Opposition alliance regard the province chief’s ignorance of yesterday and Prithvi Subba Gurung’s reclaiming for the post today as an attempt to repeat the scene of federal government’s dissolution of House of Representatives.
