NEPSE decreases by 1.80 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 1.80 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2944.78 points.

A total of 30.66 million shares of 220 points traded 1,55,690 times resulting in a turnover of Rs 16.10 billion. The banking index declined by 17 points, trade by 57 points, hotels, and tourism by 13 points, non-life insurance by 45 points, manufacturing by 38 points, others by 6 points, and life insurance by 273 points.

Similarly, Development Bank increased by 120 points, Hydropower by 88 points, Finance by 60 points, and Microfinance Group by 7 points.

Despite the decline in Nepse, the value of a dozen companies has increased by about 10 percent. Panchthar Power, Liberty Energy, Shivshree Hydro, Ngadi Group, Mountain Energy, Chyangdi, Reedy, Barun, CEDB, Arun Valley, Greenlife Hydropower, Joshi Hydro, and Pokhara Finance gained about 10 percent.

The price of the recently listed CEDB Hydro has reached Rs 502 per share. On the basis of turnover, the Hydropower Investment and Development Company was at the forefront.

The company’s turnover increased by 7.7 percent. Reinsurance Company, Lumbini Development Bank, Api Power and Nepal Insurance Company were also ahead in terms of turnover.
