KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reached Budhanilkantha, the residence of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, after holding discussions with UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Earlier, Prachanda and Nepal had held talks in Koteshwor. During the talks, issues pending in the court and internal issues of the party were discussed.
After UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli called for party unity on Sunday, Leader Nepal is engaged in discussions with other leaders. Chairman Oli appealed for unity with the commitment to return to May 2018. However, there is a catch to PM Oli’s offer. Leaders aligning with
Nevertheless, leader Nepal takes these proposals as mere tactics to delay tangible results for party unity and prolonging the hold on power. He has been wary of PM Oli’s moves.
No decision has been taken as of yet. A decision is likely after political leaders conclude rounds of talks.
