KATHMANDU: CPN-UML’s Khanal-Nepal faction’s Province-1 coordinator Bhim Acharya has come up with a middle ground proposal and asked all top leaders to hand over the party to the second generation to retain party unity.
Amidst the confusion about the fate of the party following to Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Oli’s unilateral decisions in government and the party itself, an influential leader of disgruntled Khanal-Nepal faction, Acharya suggested the middle way through his social media post on Monday.
He suggested that the first generation leaders like KP Oli, KP Jhala Nath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Bamdev Gautam and Amrit Kumar Bohora should take the respected guardianship of the party and hand over the leadership to the second generation.
“First generation leaders of the party like comrade KP Oli, Jhala Nath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Bamdev Gautam should hand over the leadership to the second generation,” leader Acharya wrote, adding his finding, “All the achievements of democracy and revolution are in crisis due to disputes and crises within the country’s major political parties.”
He also urged all leaders to give up arrogance, pride, over ambition, jealousy, humiliating language and ego and help unite the party establishing it as a harbinger of positive changes in the country.
